Lawyer Julian Palacin Fernandezformer campaign adviser Free Peru during the 2021 General Electionspassed away this Saturday, August 20 at the age of 72.
The lawyer was the father of the head of the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi), Julian Palacin Gutierrezwho was questioned after joining this state agency last year.
Palacín Fernández was born in the city of Santa Fe (Argentina), but lived in Lima for the rest of his life. He studied law and specialized in Aeronautical, Space and Commercial Aviation Law. He held positions in the Lima Bar Association related to said legal field.
In the 1980s, he was an advisor to the Ministries of Transport and Communicationsand Industry and Tourism during the second government of the populist action Fernando Belaunde. During that period, he was a member of the board of directors of the Peruvian Airports and Commercial Aviation Corporation (Corpac) on behalf of the State, which he would preside over between 2002 and 2003.
In 2004 he was advisor for air affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, he served as an advisor to the Congress of the republic.
