The prosecutor of Special Team against the Corruption of Power Jorge García Juárez made the request to magistrate Richard Concepción, considering that there is sufficient evidence about the alleged illicit origin of the money that Dervy Apaza received from Jorge López to buy the property for 420,000 soles in cash, the first of September this year.
In the event that Dervy Apaza transfer the property to third parties, Judge Concepción granted the seizure requested by the prosecutor George Garcia.
According to the version offered by former Minister Jorge López, as part of a separation agreement with his partner Dervy Apaza Meza, with whom he had two daughters, He gave her a tomograph of his property, which she later sold to the doctor and businessman Luis Quito Rodrígurez for US$70,000 (270,000 soles in exchange).

“There is a probability that said economic funds are illicit; that is, they are linked to acts of corruption, ”says Judge Concepción in his resolution, noting that Luis Quito Rodriguez, who bought the tomograph from Dervy Apaza, is a supplier of the State of the Health sector and that, at the time of acquiring the medical equipment, Jorge López was serving as minister of Health.
According to the version of the former head of Health, the funds were allocated to Dervy Apaza as part of an agreement that included the purchase of an apartment.
