Judge denied the arrest of Congressman Freddy Díaz denounced for rape

The only detail is that the Prosecutor’s Office requested nine months and they had requested that the term be shorter”, he pointed to Peru21 hours before the failure was known.

“This week there were about five proceedings. We, the lawyers in the case, are providing legal support to the victim and we believe that the evidence supports her complaint”, he expressed.

In the exteriors of Congress, the Flora Tristán collective held a sit-in to ask for the lawmaker’s immunity. “We cannot allow those who must protect our rights to be those who violate us”, they stated.
