The judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, Olmedo Arrocha, in charge of processing the unconstitutionality lawsuit against the candidacy of José Raúl Mulino, said that they have received 88 allegations, 17 against and 71 in favor. He pointed out that the defendant is not the candidate but the Electoral Tribunal.
In addition to this, Arrocha explained that he has 10 days, which expire on May 6, to prepare a draft ruling that must be circulated to the magistrates, analyze the opinions and allegations. After that there are 20 more days to put it into simultaneous reading.
«There are rules that are not established in the Judicial Code, therefore the Plenary Court can self-regulate and has done so over the years. What happens after May 6? It has to be read simultaneously for 20 days, and then if there are at least two observations that disagree with the operative part, then the undersigned will have to bring it to the Plenary for consideration, and they can even lose the presentation if they feel that the part decisive is not emphatic,” he noted.
