A brawl broke out in the Hidalgo Herrera multiple court, in Maracaibo, where the president of the 2015 National Assembly, deputy Juan Guaidó, participated in a citizens’ assembly, prior to a tour of the town.

The journalist Jhorman Cruz, reported through his account on the social network Twitter @Jhormancruz1, that a group of people claiming to be from the PSUV, appeared in the Cuatricenteneraio sector, where the court is located, with the intention of preventing the visit. by Juan Guaido.

«The situation maintained a tense calm, but a few days ago, it got out of control due to threats from civilians. VP insists that they will do the activity », Cruz wrote in a tweet in which he attached video images captured from a cell phone.

In the images, a scuffle, confrontations with blows and the throwing of blunt objects are observed, and shouts of “out, let them go” are heard by VP supporters.

In photos released by social networks, chairs are also thrown and a confrontation with blows inside the field.

“It would be good to clarify that some supporters of the PSUV tried to take over the venue to prevent Guaidó’s act from taking place and were repelled by the event organizers,” said the user @LuisTrincado in response to the information released by Jhorman Cruz.

Shortly after, Juan Guaidó arrived at the site and met with his followers. He then started a mobilization.

Brenner Barrios, leader of the Voluntad Popular party, accused members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) of causing the brawl by appearing at the event with the intention of carrying out sabotage.

“They are afraid, because Venezuela has reacted and is not giving up. We have shown that there is a change and that change is not going to be stopped by anyone, neither by breaking chairs, nor with violence, the change comes hand in hand with the people who support us, assured Barrios.

«Despite the sabotage (sic) and threats from the dictatorship, we are in the street with our people. #Zulia mobilizes », Guaidó wrote on his Twitter network account.

rejection of violence

The Zulia Humana Movement expressed its rejection of the acts of violence that occurred in the city of Maracaibo on the occasion of an act by the president of the National Assembly in 2015, Juan Guaidó.

In a four-point statement, Zulia Humana condemned the acts of gang violence that “the defeated madurismo in the state of Zulia carried out in Maracaibo.”

“The violence directed by well-known leaders of the madurismo of the city of Maracaibo, will not be able to stop the feeling of democratic change by a large majority in the land of the beloved Sun, Zulia,” the statement said.

The document adds that he democratically and overwhelmingly defeated Chavismo just 7 months ago, in the gubernatorial and mayoral elections, on November 21, 2021, and assured that he will do it again with more force in the 2024 presidential elections.

He also expressed his solidarity with the leaders and militants of the Voluntad Popular party, deputy Juan Guaidó, and ratified their adherence to the Democratic Unity Platform.
