The legislator considered that it should be a member of the Executive who holds that position. “The Executive presented a bill so that, in the event the president is absent from the country, the president of Congress can replace her (…) It is not convenient, in my opinion whoever replaces the president should be from the same cabinet because it is the very essence of work… could be the prime minister, but it’s a legal matterWilliams said yesterday.

For Alejandro Rospigliosi, former head of the advisory cabinet of the Presidency of the Congressthis initiative should not be a priority for Boluarte.
“Williams’ proposal is interesting, but it requires two legislatures. On the other hand, the Executive’s bills should respond to a country agenda. Boluarte is president of the transition, before Martín Vizcarra and Francisco Sagasti were in her position, they did not have vice presidents, they never traveled and nothing happened.
