José Cabrera “Dorín” dies; prominent sociologist in electoral research

The sociologist and political strategist, José Cabrera “Dorín”, died this Saturday due to complications from covid 19.

The information was released by journalist José Báez Guerrero, through his twitter account.

“It saddened me that my friend José Cabrera (Dorín) has just died from Covid after more than a week in ICU. He was a pioneer in applying sociology and surveys in political and state activity. EPD,” he published on his account .

“Dorín” worked for more than four decades in electoral research, and developed campaigns for different political figures such as Salvador Jorge Blanco, José Francisco Peña Gómez and Jacobo Majluta.

He, also a publicist, was the owner of Radio Cadena Hispanoamericana (RCH), a group of stations located in different parts of the country, through which he also helped people with limited resources.
