Jorge Montoya: “Peru will not continue to drift, it will soon have a new helmsman”

The spokesperson for Popular Renewal, , announced that various factions of the Congress of the Republic have been talking to promote a vacancy motion against the head of state, Pedro Castillo. He remarked that soon Peru will have “a new helmsman.”

“The dialogue to promote the vacancy motion is underway, the dictator-in-training asked for help with the appointment of a new premier and cabinet, we are helping him,” Montoya Manrique posted on his Twitter account.

The parliamentarian’s words come in the midst of criticism of Castillo Terrones for the reconformation of his Ministerial Cabinet, the fourth since he began his administration. This time he is headed by Aníbal Vásquez, who has served as Minister of Justice since August 2021.
