Resignation. Javier Arce Alvarado resigned from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) after 2 weeks of being sworn in on May 22, replacing Óscar Zea.
Indeed, by means of a letter addressed to the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, Javier Arce presented his “irrevocable resignation” to Midagri after stating that this decision was due to a “personal nature.”
“I took on the great challenge of being Minister of State in the portfolio of Agrarian Development and Irrigation knowing the responsibility that would mean having as main ideal to serve my country. Nevertheless, For reasons of a personal nature, I present my irrevocable resignation from the position that I have been holding.”, reads the letter sent to the president.
