Jalisco will explore economic opportunities in Spain and Italy

Guadalajara, Jalisco. To take advantage of the opportunities that international markets represent in the face of the current global situation, Jalisco authorities They will carry out a working tour of Spain and Italy from September 19 to 24.

The work agenda seeks to strengthen the economic, tourism, agri-food, entertainment and social assistance sectors, commented the governor, Enrique Alfaro Ramirez.

“The official work tour will begin on September 19 in the city of Madrid, Spain to attend to an agenda of tourism promotion, investment attraction, especially with the audiovisual production industry, consolidation of appellations of origin and opening of new markets”, said the Jalisco president.

The agenda also includes a working meeting with the Ministry of Territorial Policy to learn about the Spanish fiscal coordination model, and a meeting with the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeidato strengthen ties with this European metropolis, according to the letter sent by Alfaro Ramírez to report his absence to the local Congress.

“Subsequently, we will visit the city of Rome, Italy, on September 22, to attend an important meeting with the FAO and another with FIDA, addressing the agenda of women in the field and food security,” the document states.

Also, with the Mexico’s embassythe delegation from Jalisco will have an agenda of meetings on economic promotion and will sign a work agreement with the papal foundation Scholas Ocurrentes on peacebuilding to add Jalisco to the work that Pope Francis has carried out from that platform.

Among the topics that will be addressed during the tour, stand out smart tourist destinations, the strengthening of the flight Guadalajara-Madrid and the Jalisco tourism promotion in the capitals of Spain and Italy.

Likewise, good practices in terms of sustainability, Jalisco as a potential hub for the film and entertainment industry, the promotion and attraction of investments and foreign trade with special emphasis on tequila and farm products, as well as food safety.
