Ito assures that the fuel subsidy will continue

Víctor -Ito- Bisonó, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM), guaranteed this Friday in Santiago that the Central Government will continue to subsidize fuels basic use.

The official announced that for this week they will allocate an amount that exceeds 1,000 million pesos to keep the prices of gasoline, LPG and diesel oil stable.

“This subsidy is directed with the very clear intention of impacting that inflation has three digits less,” he indicated.

He remembered that the fuels affect the entire national economy.

Regarding the project that seeks to modify the Hydrocarbons Law, Bisonó indicated that its approval depends on the National Congress, where President Luis Abinader deposited the proposal for his management on February 27 of this year.

He suggested that the members of the opposition parties and society in general present their own proposals to both legislative chambers to modify this norm.

The minister defended the transparency and efficiency with which, according to what he says, the current government administration has been handling the state budget.

Bisonó spoke with journalists from Santiago prior to his participation in the Cleaner Production and Circular Economy Mipymes forum, held in a hotel in Santiago.

The event was organized by Industry and Commerce, the Open University for Adults (Uapa) and the European Union.

Graduated in Social Communication from the O&M University, he has more than a decade of journalistic practice. Proud father of Lía and Eva.
