It is time to dignify health in Aguascalientes: Tere Jiménez

  • In Alliance with health personnel, the candidate will promote different actions aimed at expanding medical coverage and services for all.

The conclusion of the Hospital de Pabellón, the Aguascalientes Insurance and the Doctor in your home program are some of its proposals.

Tere Jiménez, candidate of the “Va por Aguascalientes” Coalition, signed this Wednesday an Alliance with State Health Personnel and accompanied by Federal Deputy Margarita Zavala, announced the actions that her administration will take in the area.

He pointed out that they will address the lag in the system, strengthening hospital infrastructure and improving employment conditions, so that the more than 15,000 health workers have the necessary resources to carry out their work.

“Today we sign our alliance with doctors; It is time to respond with gratitude and firmness to health sector workers. We are going to allocate sufficient resources so that everyone has the conditions, benefits and job certainty they deserve, ”he said.

He announced that the works he carries out will transcend his administration and will respond to the health needs of the entire State.

Prevention, awareness and timely detection campaigns will be created for mental illnesses and chronic degenerative diseases such as kidney failure, diabetes and other conditions, which along with cancer will receive priority attention.

It will be through the “Aguascalientes Insurance” program that those who do not have affiliation to the health systems and who today represent 2 out of 10 people in the State, will be served, in addition, with medicine vouchers, men and women patients will be able to access medicines at low cost.

Tere Jiménez made the announcement of her project in the still unfinished Pabellón de Arteaga Hospital, which she said will be completed and will have a trauma area; while in the current Hospital General de Pabellón it will function as a maternal and child care unit. This is intended to meet the demand of the northern part of the State; In addition, in the capital, the Hidalgo Hospital will improve its operations.

“We are going to complete the Hidalgo Hospital, which will go from having 114 beds to 240, with which we will provide first-class medical care to the people of Aguascalientes. The current Pabellón hospital will become a maternal and child care unit and we are going to complete the Pabellón General Hospital, which will also include the trauma unit, with this we will guarantee general second-level care for the municipalities in the north of our State” he pointed.

In this sense, Tere Jiménez stressed that the work results in life or death for those who at some point require timely attention, eliminating travel times to the capital; accidents are currently the fourth cause of death in the State, so it is imperative to expand coverage, also strengthening the operation of community Health Centers.

On the other hand, he said that the “Doctor in your home” program will start operations, which will serve older adults and people with disabilities who cannot move; Additionally, they will operate mobile services that will reach all corners of the State.

Mental health will also be addressed with prevention and counseling campaigns from the school level, for which work is being done to make alliances with psychologists and universities that support treatment from childhood.

“It’s time to give people clear answers, it’s time for everyone to receive decent and quality medical care,” he concluded.
