With free admission, the 2022 Brazilian Rowing and Pararemo Championship kicked off with two double skiff qualifiers (2x) of the junior male category, in which Botafogo and Flamengo qualified. The competition (in which names such as Lucas Verthein, Brazil’s representative in the single skiff at the Tokyo Games, Uncas Tales, two-time under-23 world champion, and Lara Pizarro, South American champion) can be seen in action) will feature around 300 athletes. .
“Whenever we hold a Brazilian Championship, the expectation is that the competition held the previous year will be surpassed. For this, we try to do and provide the best for athletes to feel as close as possible to what they would have in an international competition”, declared the president of the Brazilian Rowing Confederation, Magali Moreira.
The Copa Brasil de Canoagem e Paracanoagem, which involves more than 200 participants, starts only on the morning of next Wednesday (19). And the highlight is the Olympic multimedalist Isaquias Queiroz, who defends Flamengo.
“It will be a great experience, an opportunity to join forces in Canoeing and Rowing. They are two sister sports that will be competing side by side together.
