Iran offers Oman help in counterterrorism fight

The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, assured that Tehran is ready to share its counter-terrorism experiences with its Omani peers.

Speaking to state television, the senior officer also revealed that there were meetings with officials from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, during which misunderstandings were resolved.

“The presence of foreign armies in the region leads to insecurity,” he asserted, saying that the Americans and Europeans are plotting plans for division and conspiracies between the countries to remain in West Asia.
