IPS responds to the complaint of the sale of medicines in the corridors

The journalistic complaint of the SNT channel indicates that in the IPS cardiac supplies are offered and that the vendors are installed in the corridors of the endovascular service area.

Even in the images shown by the channel, it can be seen that the doctors themselves guide where to buy them.

Given the complaints made, the IPS issued a statement, indicating that they are in full investigation to delve into the facts in such a way as to define responsibilities and identify those responsible “to safeguard the interests of the insured and the social security.”

The IPS also recalled the validity of the Circular number 023/2017 that prohibits the presence of vendors, suppliers of medicines, supplies, medical devices, prostheses, etc. as well as its transaction and/or commercialization within the hospital premises or within the facilities of the IPS premises, therefore, efforts will be redoubled for its full compliance.

Likewise, the Legal Advice of the institution, is relieving all the pertinent information in order to file legal actions.
