IPC-S ends March with inflation of 1.35%, says FGV

The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), registered inflation of 1.35% in March this year. Then come food, which registered a rate of 1.99% in March compared to an inflation of 1.20% in February. Tomatoes were the product with the greatest impact on inflation, among food items, with a price increase of 22.21% in March.

Another three groups of expenditures showed an increase in the inflation rate from February to March: housing (which went from 0.33% to 1.23%), clothing (from 0.33% to 1.04%) and miscellaneous expenses (from 0.33% to 1.04%). 0.08% to 0.39%).

Two groups went from deflation (falling prices) in February to inflation in March: health and personal care (from -0.12% to 0.22%) and education, reading and recreation (from 0.51% to 0.19 %).

Among the expenditure groups, only communication had a drop in the rate, changing from inflation of 0.08% in February to deflation of 0.13% in March.
