The Court decided that those who have legitimacy to request registration as a local party are former local deputy Polymnia Romana Sierra, former federal deputy Sergio Iván Galindo Hernández, Karla López Celis, Luz del Carmen Rocha Silva and Rocío Sánchez Pérez as members of the State Executive Directorate of the party.
Sierra is identified as one of the policies close to Jesús Zambrano, who was leader of the PRD until September 2024, when the loss of the registration of the so -called ‘Azteca Sol’ was made official at the national level by not reaching the minimum of 3% of the federal vote.
Nora Arias accused the Superior Chamber of the Court of delivering the CDMX PRD to “a group of living and opportunists” and warned that he will carry out legal actions leading to defend the party, with the recognition of rights for all his militants.
“This is nothing more than a robbery and an assault on militancy for those who did not put a vote to the PRD in the last process,” said Arias through a statement.
The PRD coordinator also in the capital Congress pointed out as responsible for “what could happen to our fellow leaders, counselors and militants” to the federal deputies by Morena, Ricardo Monreal Ávila, Pedro Hazes Barba and Víctor Hugo Lobo Lobo Román, as well as the former national leader of the PRD, Jesús Zambrano.
