On August 5, International Beer Day is celebrated and Peru is the fourth country that consumes this alcoholic beverage the most for delivery in relation to 15 Latin American countries, reported the company OrdersYa.
“At the regional level, Peru is in fourth place in the countries that most often consume beer for delivery, the others that complete the list are Argentina, Chile and Uruguay”, commented Macarena Poblete, Director of Marketing for OrdensYa Peru.
In addition, he stated that the OrdenesYa Market represents more than 95% of the beer orders in the entire app. In turn, these are accompanied by various complementary items, such as snacks, mainly French fries, soft drinks and cigarettes.
Along these lines, the technology and quick-commerce company forecasts that beer orders for this year will increase 175% in its digital supermarket.
The most consumed beer in Peru
According to data from the first semester, OrdensYa said that Pilsen is the most consumed beer at the national level, followed by Tres Cruces, Cusqueña, and foreign Heineken, such as Corona.
As for the drinking districts of Lima, they mentioned that they are Surco, San Borja and Miraflores, as the ones that usually make the largest number of orders in the capital. In provinces, Arequipa, Trujillo and Chiclayo.
Days and hours of greatest consumption
He also mentioned that the schedule is an important component when having a few beers with friends. The delivery app identified that Fridays, between 6 pm and 11 pm, is where more requests are registered. Saturday is another peak time for the celebration, the shopping range is usually between 3 pm until the allowed time.
“Peruvians have very marked occasions to request this drink. For example, the day before, hours before or during a game of the Peruvian national team, such as the Qualifiers and key matches such as the playoff in June. Another ideal time to buy beer are the days before the holidays of Holy Week, San Pedro and San Pablo, National Holidays, among others. In addition, at the end of the month, consumption increases in virtual stores”, Poblete commented.
