Inter-American Union congratulates Paraguay for its civility in the inmates

The Uniore (Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations) highlighted the high participation of the citizens in the internal elections and congratulated Paraguay for showing civility in the elections.

Samir Chami Isa, head of the Uniore mission, referred to the elections internal events held this Sunday to coincide with the World Cup final.

“We congratulate the civility of the Paraguayan peoplein the massive assistance that there was in the polling stations; there was a very large attendance. We visited some schools and really the attendance was very predominant”, expressed Chami Isa.

Regarding the competitors, he considered that there was also a great behavior of all and that no incident was recorded.

Regarding the aspects to be corrected for the next time, Samir Chami spoke about the cclosure of polling places.

“We worry a lot because We saw many people with a lack of information, many board members did not know when to close and proceed with the scrutiny,” he lamented.

However, he highlighted the automated vote, as an achievement of the country and as the strengthening of democracy.
