Intec: 50 years of legacy and academic firsts

Santo Domingo.- The Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (Intec) enjoys a legacy of firsts that positions it as one of the best universities in the country and the Latin American region.

As you approach your 50 years of foundationits rector Julio Sánchez Mariñez highlighted with apparent pride, being the best positioned Dominican university in the QS World Ranking, ranking 801st among the 1,400 best in the world rated by the British company Quacquarelli Symond (QS).

During a lunch with representatives of the main national media, Sánchez Mariñez highlighted Intec as the only university with 2+2 programs in conjunction with prestigious academies and international leadership.

In its academic offer, it is also the only one to train professionals in the areas of Cybersecurity, Biomedical Engineering, Logistics and Transportation Engineering, Data Science, Statistical Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences, as well as Biotechnology.

Throughout these 50 years, to be fulfilled on October 9, the Technological Institute has granted 34 thousand 829 titles, being 21,554 undergraduate and another 13,444 postgraduate.

It also has a current enrollment of 5,769 students, where 30% of these come from the interior of the country.
