The Institute Postal Dominicano (INPOSDOM), informs that, on the morning of this Tuesday, a cargo vehicle suffered a traffic accident when it was returning from the “Américas José Francisco Peña Gómez” International Airport when it was returning to the institution’s headquarters, then of having deposited the correspondence, packages and suitcases destined abroad.
The truck brand Isuzu plate no. L353423 of 10 feet, white, suffered the spectacular accident while traveling from East to West on the Las Américas highway when one of its rear tires exploded, causing it to hit the pavement.
The driver of the vehicle, Alexis Santos Hierro, was accompanied by the inspector, Carlos Blanco, and the Sergeant Major of the National Police, Carlos Ramírez Savino; who were unharmed despite the strong impact caused by the explosion without affecting any other vehicle, or causing damage to third parties.
The INPOSDOM makes the pertinent investigations to determine the true cause of the accident and sends a message of calm to the relatives and friends of the collaborators who fulfilled their duty.
