CEO ofhe National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep)Raphael Santosclarified yesterday that this institution receives 1% of the payable salary from employees, but in some cases it includes salary and commissions.
“Infotep does not charge for incentives, for double salary, or for any other benefit received by the worker.” He expressed that if any employer has been charged beyond what is established, he should go to Infotep or call to make an evaluation.
He explained that since 1980 Infotep has been charging the business and labor contribution based on article 24 of Law 116, which establishes that 1% of the fixed salary and ½% of the workers’ bonuses will be contributed. Article 192 of the Labor Code, he said, states that the commission is a form of salary payment.
