The Plenary of the Permanent Commission unanimously ratified Mauricio Márquez Corona, proposed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, as a member of the governing board of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi); yesterday he protested.
The president of the First Commission of the Permanent, Lucía Meza (Morena) highlighted that with this appointment the constitutional responsibility is fulfilled so that the institute works and operates in its maximum and best capacity.
He considered that Mauricio Márquez is suitable
for the position, provided that they have the required experience and profile. Until May of this year, he served as president of the Institute of Administration and Appraisals of National Assets of the Ministry of Finance and has experience in economic and statistical matters for his work of more than 30 years in various positions at Inegi, he stressed.
