Santo Domingo.- Two Dominicans who have had an outstanding career in the United States in the legal and governmental fields have been recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Institute of Dominicans Abroad (INDEX).
Elizabeth de León Bhargava, who is currently the Deputy Secretary for Management at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Ydanis Rodríguez, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation, who was also a District 10 representative at the Council of that same city have been recognized.
At the ceremony, held in the gardens of the residence of the Dominican ambassador to the United States, the INDEX gave each one the insignia of the institution, thus recognizing their work in the areas of their performance.
