Through a resolution published in the Official Gazette, the Buenos Aires Government launched the legal process to increase the toll rate in the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway.
To this end, the Executive Power called a public hearing for next July 8, in order to discuss the increases for the tolls of the road corridorwhich is one of the most important, since it is estimated that more than 500 vehicles circulate per hour on the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway.
In this regard, the concessionaire company AUBASA, in charge of managing the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway, proposed a 39% increase over the current value of the toll.
In this sense, the increase in the rate would be reflected in the booths installed on AU 2, which connects with Mar del Plata and routes 63, 74, 56 and 11, on which there is no increase since 2019. .
Likewise, the concessionaire stressed that the increase is “in line with the provisions for national road corridors” and that the increase “reflects the governor’s will to mitigate the increase.”
This, given that if the increase were calculated in relation to the accumulated inflation since 2019, the rise would be around 250%; therefore, during the hearing all these details will be discussed.
The event will take place on July 8 at 10:00 in the morning in the Auditorium room of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Serviceslocated on Calle 7 between 58 and 59 in the city of La Plata.
Who will participate in the public hearing
The Government of Buenos Aires summoned to the public hearing the users who use and pass through the road corridorto hear “the technical, economic, financial and legal foundations of the proposal” from AUBASA.
This, with the purpose of “properly and truthfully informing, and submitting to citizen participation, the proposals for price variations produced.”
