Puerto Plata.-The provision of an increase in the price of the night ticket on the public car route that covers the section from Puerto Plata-Montellano-Sosúa has generated discomfort among users.
The measure implemented by the public transport car union of that demarcation is questioned by those who opt for this service
The new fares for the night ticket from Sosúa to Puerto Plata will cost RD$100.00, while from Puerto Plata to La Unión it is now RD$85.00 and from Puerto Plata to the community of Cangrejos it is RD$70.00. The increase goes from five to ten pesos.
While from Puerto Plata to the Gran Parada-Los Ciruelos-Montellano the ticket at night now costs RD$60.00 pesos and from Puerto Plata to Playa Dorada they must pay RD$50.00.
Also, from Gran Parada at the entrance to the La Vigía-El Cupey highway to Sosúa the ticket now costs RD$75.00, while from Sosúa to Los Ciruelos it costs RD$70.00, and from Sosúa to Cangrejos and Montellano, the fare is RD$60.00.
Complaints from citizens were heard because the cost of the night ticket from Sosúa to La Unión has been RD$50.00 for a week.
