In recent days, the number of positive COVID-19 cases has increased, only yesterday, Wednesday, April 27, 845 new cases were reported, for which the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre assured that this is due to the activities of Holy Week and relaxation of the measures of use of the mask.
“What we are seeing is the result of some actions that we have taken, in fact the elimination of massacres in open places I feel that it was distorted a bit, we knew that this was going to have a small rebound and we are not so concerned as long as we continue taking care of us,” he said.

He specified that Panama is one of the countries that has shown better management of the pandemic, since there are countries that have reached a seventh wave and Panama has barely reached the fourth. The results of the chaos increases have not led the country to complicate either the economy or the stability of the country. “We’re doing it right, one step at a time,” he said.
