INABIE urges businesses to refrain from selling merchandise with institutional logo

Santo Domingo.- The National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE) today urged businesses in the country to refrain from selling merchandise with institutional logos because these are supplies that are prohibited from being sold to the public and corresponding sanctions will be established in cases where this practice is evident.

The clothing that INABIE acquires through suppliers is aimed at the student population that must receive a school kit complete which must be delivered by the directors of the educational centers completely free of charge to the families of the students.

The agency reiterates the clarification and, at the same time, denies a complaint about the alleged sale of school polo shirts in San José de Ocoa that is being spread through WhatsApp. A team from the Inspection and Control Unit traveled to the province and confirmed that no sale of items with the identity of INABIE has taken place in said town.

In light of this situation, the welfare institute calls on parents, guardians and the general public to make responsible complaints and not to spread information that lacks veracity.

In this regard, INABIE reiterates that it made the email available to the population [email protected] for any complaints in addition to the 311 line and institutional social networks.

He recalled that last week he asked the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to open an investigation into a case of sale of school clothing with INABIE identity that was confirmed.

The current management at the head of INABIE is on the side of the rights of our students and of the truth. This is why the doors of the institution are open to receive all responsible complaints about the services it offers.
