Valentine jumps into the void

The border area with Syria suffered on Monday the most violent earthquake in Turkey in a hundred years (magnitude 7.8). Yesterday morning the dead in both countries exceeded 5 thousand; the wounded 24 thousand. There are thousands of destroyed buildings, damage to electrical and communication infrastructure, among other consequences of the tremor. Syria worsens its humanitarian catastrophe of 12 years of civil war. This devastating earthquake occurred only days after our country had the strongest in two decades (magnitude 5.3), without damage. The government of Turkey, an emerging economic powerhouse, announced $5.3 billion in emergency aid. Well, our experience in the event of an earthquake of similar magnitude, what would it be?
