After the claim of the mothers of children with cancer, in the Oncological hospital promised that next week the delivery will be regularized free of medicines that are part of the Unified Health System (SUS).
Since last Friday, relatives of patients have been in an emergency room and reported that the hospital pharmacy was empty, despite the fact that there are children with scheduled chemotherapies.
The leader of mothers who have children with cancer, Ana Figueroa, remarked that although the country celebrated the Carnival holiday, patients cannot interrupt their treatments. She added that given the shortage of drugs the families were promoting solidarity campaigns to raise resources to buy the missing remedies.
In this situation, andhe manager of the Oncology Hospital, Víctor Hugo Castro, assured that the purchase processes began last week and that until next week they will receive all the medicines, to re-deliver them to the patients.
However, the manager acknowledged that since last year drag a deficit of medicines.
