The National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) closed, in seven days, eight radio stations in Falcon state.
This was denounced by the National Union of Press Workers (SNTP), This Sunday, October 30.

The closure of the radio stations by Conatel occurred between October 20 and 27.
“Eight radio stations were closed in the Colina municipality, Falcón state: Occidente 92.7 FM, Carubarigua 96.9 FM; Beraka 91.3 FM, Missionary 97.6 FM; Tricolor 105.5 FM, Fredmedical 93.9 FM; Centinela 99.1 FM and Precursor 95.9 FM”, the SNTP denounced this Sunday through its Twitter account.
The SNTP pointed out that, in accordance with the usual pattern followed by the regulatory body, “in all cases, the instruction was given by telephone by Conatel monitors, people from the same municipality who work for the agency.”

On October 27, the SNTP counted a total of 79 stations closed by Conatel, in the last 10 months, in 16 of the 23 states of the country.
For its part, the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA) rejected the massive closure of media outlets and censorship in Venezuela during the inauguration of its 78th National Assembly, which took place this week in Spain.
