Inflation in December would be at levels similar to those of last November, when it marked a price increase of 4.9%, according to projections handled by the Ministry of Economy.

For its part, the consulting firm Ecolatina forecasts one of the lowest estimates for December, with an increase of 4.2 percent.

The Consumer Price Index released by INDEC reported a slowdown in inflation in November compared to October, with an increase of 4.9%, and a cumulative rate of 85.3% in eleven months.
January 2022 began with a 3.9% rise in the CPI. In February it advanced 4.7% and in March it climbed 6.7%.
Then, in April, inflation marked a slight deceleration with a rise of 6%, a trend that continued in May when it stood at 5.1%.
In June, prices rose again, in this case with an increase of 5.3%.
In July, after Guzmán’s resignation as head of the Palacio de Hacienda at the beginning of the month, and the appointment of Silvina Batakis as his replacement, prices shot up to the highest level of the year: 7.4%.
After a brief period in charge of the Palacio de Hacienda, at the end of July Batakis left his position and at the beginning of August Massa took over as head of the Economy, a portfolio that also absorbed the ministries of Productive Development and Agriculture.
In August, inflation showed a rise of 7%, to slow down again in September and register an increase of 6.2%.
The data at that time was that the pace of slowdown did not continue as expected, and the CPI for October stood at 6.3%.
The trend changed again in November, when prices rose 4.9% and now the government is excited about the possibility that the number for December is in line with that of the previous month.
