In de-escalation, Bolivia registers 2,821 positive cases of covid

Bolivia reports 1,119 cases, a record in the fourth wave of the pandemic

This Friday, the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health establishes that 2,821 positive cases of coronavirus were registered, 1,324 cases less than the previous day, on Thursday 4,145 infections were reported.

On this day, Santa Cruz detected 807 positive cases; Cochabamba, 633; La Paz, 702; Chuquisaca, 168; Tarija, 142; Potosi, 120; Oruro, 81; Beni, 95; and Panda, 73.

In addition, the death of 29 people due to complications from the disease was mourned.

The epidemiological report also shows that this Friday there were 6,784 recovered patients. 1,665 in Santa Cruz; 1,773 in Cochabamba; 400 in La Paz; 595 in Chuquisaca; 1,099 in Tarija; 186 in Potosi; 1,060 in Oruro and 6 in Pando.

Vaccination

Bolivia passed this Friday the 12 million doses applied to its population, in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

On this day, 12,015,161 doses were applied between the first, second, third, single dose to the different age groups of the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer and Janssen vaccines throughout the national territory.

The report establishes that 566,937 first doses and 257,151 second doses were applied to children from 5 to 11 years old, while 694,437 to adolescents from 12 to 17 years old in first doses and 472,042 in the second.
