The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has announced the opening of a Regional Office in Panama, as part of the Panama Association Hub (PAH), consolidating its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean. This initiative, led and supported by various public and private entities, positions Panama as an important center for knowledge, innovation and meetings in the region.
With the growing popularity of Latin America and the Caribbean as destinations for international events, ICCA’s arrival in Panama promises to contribute significantly to the economic and social development of the region. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, emphasized the association’s long-term commitment to Panama and the region, highlighting the office’s strategic location in the City of Knowledge, a forward-thinking business and collaboration center.
The ICCA Regional Office is expected to be fully operational in early 2025, supporting professional associations and non-profit business entities in areas such as licensing, registration and visa management, as well as providing business advice to boost their operations.
The Panama Association Hub, which has the support of key institutions such as the Ministry of the Presidency and the Authority for the Attraction of Investments and Promotion of Exports PROPANAMA, is positioned as the first Association Center in Latin America, highlighting its role in promoting of economic development, innovation and regional collaboration.
This initiative not only strengthens ICCA’s presence in the region, but also positions Panama and Latin America as centers of knowledge and collaboration at an international level, with positive impacts on economic and social development.
