The teacher, identified as “César”, revealed to the program that he is a doctor with more than 20 years of university teaching and more than four years at the Postgraduate School of the Cesar Vallejo University.
“Without being a specialist, how can I teach a course that is not my specialty? I believe and consider that this is why I am here, that I am kind of fooling the students, right? And that is obviously not the quality that should be given in a university, especially in the graduate school of a university in general.“, said.
According to the teacher’s version, the César Vallejo University forced him to teach courses that were not his specialty in order to complete the 40 academic hours.
“I feel compelled to comment on this, because I feel I am misleading the students. I believe that if you do not provide the student with what he really does, the service for which he has paid, I believe that it is a scam.”, he continued.
The program indicated that last year the teacher had already reported the problem to Indecopi, specifying that as a full-time teacher he was assigned courses that are not his expertise, knowledge and professional experience. And that these were dictated by pressure from the school.
“It is not only my case, but many full-time teachers”, he mentioned in the document.
““Many of the teachers teach coaching and soft skills. I have taught the coaching course several times without being coaching”, he gave as an example.

The professor also questioned the deadlines granted to review more than 20 theses of students seeking to obtain a master’s degree. “And I review precisely 20 theses, 30 theses (…) That’s where the shortcomings come from in terms of quality“, Held.

The case of President Castillo and his wife
The Panorama program reported that President Pedro Castillo and his wife Lilia Paredes would have plagiarized the thesis that allowed them to obtain a master’s degree in education, with a mention in Educational Psychology, at the César Vallejo University in 2012.
According to the journalistic report, 54% of the content of the thesis of the current presidential couple coincides with other national and foreign authors, after an analysis carried out with the well-known Turnitin program.
Through a statement from the presidency, Castillo has denied “any irregular act” in the preparation of his master’s thesis and has said that the journalistic complaint has “political overtones” and is part of “a destabilizing plan.”
The Cajamarca Prosecutor’s Office opened an ex officio investigation against Castillo and his wife for the alleged commission of the crimes of aggravated plagiarism, generic falsehood and improper collection to the detriment of the State, the National Superintendence of Education (Sunedu) and other organizations due to an alleged thesis plagiarism.
However, the César Vallejo University concluded that the master’s thesis of President Pedro Castillo and his wife Lilia Paredes maintains its contribution of originality. In addition, the fact that the 43% of similarities found in the aforementioned investigation does not invalidate it.
