“I did not refer to Celeste Amarilla”

“I did not refer to Celeste Amarilla”

Élida Favola, communication director of the Public Ministry, expressed herself again on social networks on Thursday. She affirmed that she has ratified her statement before a notary, and she has also left the following question in writing; In what part of her published tweets does she refer to Celeste Amarilla or why did she take herself for reference?

“To the citizens I clarify that my expressions reflect not only my internal jurisdiction, but that of many good citizens, for all the national reality that we live, making my publications in my capacity as a Paraguayan citizen, as a journalist, in use of my freedom of expression,” he posted.

He stressed that his expressions are independent of the institution, regardless of the State Attorney General or the position he may circumstantially hold in another institution.

CONTEXT
The pro-government deputies and part of the opposition were debating about presenting the political trial of Sandra Quiñónez on Wednesday, during the ordinary session.
At the same time, Élida Favole used her social networks to post a series of comments on her social network twitter; (@efavole), which were taken as an extortive measure against legislators.

In the posts, he accuses the Government of wanting to cover up the links of high officials with organized crime and smuggling cases, requesting a political trial against the State Attorney General.

“A very interested legislator would be offering gold and money for the political trial, since a close person, in an open process, can be charged with 15 to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking. This defendant would be carrying the responsibility of keeping quiet who is the boss, ”says one of the publications.

He points out that a very heavyweight of drug trafficking got him a list of voters in favor of a legislator, who would be one of the main promoters of the political trial, and who always mentions the word “Narco-state” in her speeches.
Finally, he affirms that there is an audio that involves a minister who “would never be expected to do something dishonest.” However, he does not give names and does not detail what kind of crimes it is about.

Given the viralization of the posts, the same Sandra Quiñónez, Attorney General of the State, also published on the same social network that disavows said statements and disclaims any responsibility with respect to what she mentioned.

“I have ordered the instruction of an administrative summary in order to establish the responsibilities of said official of this institution,” he published.
