Hundreds of Manchester United fans demonstrate against the owners

Hundreds of Manchester United fans demonstrated on Monday near Old Trafford, before the Premier League matchday 3 match against Liverpool, to demand the departure of the North American owners of the club, the Glazer family.

“Glazer out1”, “Love United. Hate the Glazers!”, “United against the Glazers!”. These were some of the eulogies exhibited by fans against the billionaire American family, also with rude chants towards the owners of the entity.

T-shirts, scarves and flares with the colors green and yellow (those of Newton Heath, the club that preceded Manchester United were also very numerous.

At 19h00 GMT, fans must walk the short distance between the Tollgate pub and the ‘Trinity’ statues, club legends George Best, Denis Law and Bobby Charlton, just outside the stadium.

Leading the procession, a banner with the message “United for $ale” (United for sale), collecting the majority wish of the fans.

It is not the first demonstration against the Glazers, owners of the club since 2005, accused of the decline of the most successful club in England, which with two defeats, occupies relegation places before receiving Liverpool, its historic rival, on Monday. YS
