During a proselytizing act held in Misiones, Hugo Velázquez, Vice President of the Republic and presidential candidate for the ruling party, stated that Horacio Cartes only seeks to come to power to control Seprelad and the Prosecutor’s Office, and thus not be investigated.
The presidential candidate recommended to the referents of “Honor Colorado” not to worry about who leaked the Seprelad reports that splash Cartes in money laundering, but to dedicate themselves to clarifying where so many millions of dollars come from.
For his part, Mario Abdo stressed that many manguruyuses (big fish) have already fled and others are going to run soon. He said the front pages of the major print media will be embarrassing many.
The president asked to fight for Velázquez to be the next president of Paraguay.
