At around 8:00 in the morning, a truck and a car collided head-on on the Huancayo – Pampas highway, Cullhuas sector. As a result of the accident, several passengers were injured, including a minor.

According to preliminary information, the truck was headed to the city of Huancayo, while the red car was transporting a family to the province of Acobamba. The injured were taken to the city of Huancayo for medical attention.

The National Police arrived at the scene to attend to the emergency and carry out investigations into the accident; apparently the cause was excessive speed.
