How many former ministers of Pedro Castillo face tax investigations?

Geiner Alvarado

The censored former Minister of Transport and Communications Geiner Alvarado is investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged crime of criminal organization. As a result, last September the Judiciary issued a 36-month ban on leaving the country against him.

According to the prosecutor’s thesis, the former official would have been part of the criminal network that the head of state would lead. Within this organization, Alvarado would have arranged for officials and businessmen to benefit from projects tendered in the Municipality of Anguía (Chota, Cajamarca), Chachapoyas (Amazonas) and other locations.

John Silva

Currently, the former Minister of Transport and Communications John Silva He is a fugitive from justice, after preventive detention was ordered against him for the Tarata III Bridge case.

According to the prosecutor’s thesis, Silva Villegas was part of a criminal organization in this sector and would have allegedly committed irregular acts in bidding for works, hiring officials, favoring businessmen, among others.

Walter Ayala

former defense minister Walter Ayala is being investigated for the alleged crimes of abuse of authority and illegal sponsorship, due to complaints from government officials for alleged interference in the promotion of the Armed Forces.

The division general of the Peruvian Army (r), José Alberto Vizcarra Álvarez and the air general of the Peruvian Air Force (r), Jorge Luis Chaparro Pinto, revealed that Ayala would have requested that officers who were not proposed be promoted in the promotion process.

Guido Bellido

Former Prime Minister and Congressman, Guido Bellido (Peru Libre), is being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for alleged affiliation with a terrorist organization. Included in these inquiries are the secretary general of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerrón, and parliamentarian Guillermo Bermejo (Democratic Peru).

The investigation is carried out based on a police report that indicated that in May 2021 a witness declared to have knowledge of an alleged link between Bermejo, Bellido and Cerrón with the remnants of the Shining Path terrorist group in the Vraem.
