In 6AM Today by Today Caracol Radio spoke Carolina Girón, general director of the NGO ‘Venezuelan Prison Observatory’ on the advances in the matter of investigation that they have been able to carry out on the criminal organization ‘Aragua Train’its operation in the prisons of the neighboring country and the direct impact it has on Colombia.

For its part, Carolina Giron He commented that organizations like this grew under the protection of the Venezuelan government and have “control of the prisons.”

“The government is the father of this organization. The Aragua Train is nothing more than a group of prisoners who took control of the penitentiary center ‘Tocorón’ in the state of Aragua, in Venezuela”commented.

LEADER OF THE ORGANIZATION

The ‘Tren de Aragua’ has a head, as happens in most criminal organizations. In this case it is called Hector Guerrero Floresknown as ‘The Warrior Boy’ who has been imprisoned since 2012 and has repeatedly escaped.

FINANCING

In 2011, many prisoners were dying due to acts of violence and the minister at the time allowed the families of the inmates to spend vacations in the prisons, creating groups that maintained order inside the prison.
