High in prices

The basket with the 35 most consumed products in supermarkets recorded, from January to April, an increase of 8.31% compared to the same period in 2021. In the accumulated of 12 months, prices rose 17.87%.

The products with the highest increases in the first quarter of 2022 were long-life milk (22.35%), soy oil (20.38%), beans (19.71%) and wheat flour (15, 45%).

According to Milan, product prices have suffered from various inflationary pressures, such as rising energy costs with the War in Ukraine. For him, it is necessary to reduce, even if momentarily, taxes to be able to contain the high inflation. “At least a period of cutting these taxes. An effort by the federal, state, municipal government to create alternatives for us to have a free basic food basket”, he defended.
