In January of this year, the regime announced that work was beginning to restore the first of the four wrecked tanks.
The lack of essential elements in places like this, including the adequate distance between the tanks, having powerful foam cannons and the concrete lining to prevent the collapse of the structure, led to the magnitude of the accident.
