Considers the possibility of closing the border due to the violence in Haiti.

The political leader, Homero gonzalez, I consider this Thursday that the national political leadershipHe must join a voice in the “Duartian Ideology” in an effort to defend the National sovereignty because of the tension and crisis in Haiti. González also asked for the support of all sectors to the initiatives that the Government has taken to regularize the situation of thousands of Haitians and control traffic across the border.

Regarding the measure announced by the authorities to limit the care of Haitian immigrants only in emergency cases in hospitals, he supports the decision, but understands that it should reach the ban over time.

“We must begin to give priority to these actions that for decades were neglected, allowing a huge traffic of undocumented immigrants to our nation, this fact must serve as a precedent for the real migration protocol to be established with the support of our Armed Forces,” he said.

He also proposed that the authorities formalize the current status of Haitian immigrants residing in the country, as well as encourage entrepreneurship in industry and commerce in the border area.

González understands that the president’s statement about prioritizing security over trade should call for reflection on the political parties and their leadership.
