High Command reviews nation's defense and military industrial development

This Wednesday the Military High Command held a meeting in order to analyze issues related to the defense of the nation and the development of the military industry, reported the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

In a message posted on its account on the social network Twitter, the FANB stressed that the “comprehensive defense of the homeland is paramount.”

«The Comprehensive Defense of the Homeland is paramount. At this moment, a fruitful meeting of the Military High Command is taking place, where issues related to Defense and development of the Military Industrial Engine are discussed,” the FANB said on Twitter.

The meeting was led by the Defense Minister, Vladimir Godfather López, who prior to the meeting had indicated on his Twitter account that he began the month of February with his “patriotic heritage that invites us to action, debate and reflection.”

«Today we start February with all its historical load; a month of patriotic heritage that invites us to action, debate and reflection. Let’s go then, let’s embrace these next few days with energy and move forward with a firm step. We will win! », Said the minister from his account on the same social network.

Minister Padrino López in a video posted in the message on Twitter calls to celebrate next February 4 when National Dignity Day is commemorated, and to continue on the path of victories and patriotic commitment.

Next February 4, National Dignity Day, marks the 31st anniversary of the same day in 1992, when a group of young patriots, soldiers and civilians, under the leadership of Commander Hugo Chávez, rebelled against the government of the then President Carlos Andres Perez.
