Hezbollah or revenge for A Ultranza PY?: the lines of investigation in the Pecci case

With the passing of the hours, hypotheses are emerging that may lead to the clarification of the murder of prosecutor Marcelo Pecci in Colombia. In this sense, there are two lines of investigation that are carried out at this time.

Martha Soto, a journalist for the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo, made a publication under the title “In US prisons there are clues about the crime of prosecutor Pecci”, referring to a possible link between Hezbollah and the event that ended the life of our compatriot in Colombia.

In this regard, Soto explained to 780 AM that Hezbollah has had a presence in Colombia for some time, even a few weeks ago there was news of an attack plan in Bogotá against “enemies” of the terrorist group.

Precisely the investigation points to the link that prosecutor Pecci had with the DEA to identify members of Hezbollah in Paraguay. In this context, in 2019 the extradition of Nader Mohamad Farhat to the United States was achieved, after a job led by the now deceased.

Likewise, the journalist maintained that in the last hours the hypothesis that Pecci’s crime was for revenge of people detained in the operation against organized crime carried out in our country, called “A Ultranza PY”, has also gained strength.

On the other hand, the Colombian journalist maintained that the version that the prosecutor was followed from Paraguay is also promoted. “It is clear that both prosecutor Pecci and his wife had been followed. That is why they are monitoring all their movements since their arrival in the country,” he specified.

He also said that the assassins knew the area very well, so the government is optimistic that the residents will provide information about them in exchange for the millionaire reward.
