Health receives disbursement from Taiwan again

The Ministry of Health signed the agreement for the receipt of US$ 5.7 million within the cooperation of Taiwan for the project called “Improvement of the Quality of Care of Health Establishments”

Minister Julio Borba said that coverage will be expanded in the services of the Acosta Ñu Pediatric Hospital, Trauma Hospital and Itauguá National Hospital, through the acquisition of new equipment and the implementation of the Health Information System.

The Ministry of Health received a total of US$14,992,733 within this project; Taiwan’s cooperation, approved by Law 6,275/18, is US$150 million in total and also included the financing of the overpass in Tres Bocas and the construction of houses, among other projects.

The reception act ceremony was held at the National Chancellery with the participation of the Minister of Health, Foreign Minister Julio Arriola and the Taiwanese ambassador, José Chih-Cheng Han.
