Head of State inaugurated the Venezuelan Congress of Women

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated this Tuesday, the Venezuelan Congress of Women.

From the Plaza Bicentenaria in Miraflores, she highlighted the role of Venezuelan women in the fight for their rights.

“From now on they have great tasks such as unifying, relaunching and putting the priorities of the feminist movement in front of the country,” she said.

She highlighted that 1,982 delegates from all over the country participate in the Congress, of which 240 belong to state movements, 270 to national ones and 230 are natural leaders.

Former head of state, he warned that it is necessary for Congress to comply with the guidelines, which is the struggle of women in the social sphere, “that the 3R.NETS be fulfilled as a social necessity for the environment of feminism,” he said.

Likewise, he requested that the proposals that will be generated in Congress must go directly to the Executive to put them into practice.

Congress Objectives

Nicolás Maduro called for the development of three fundamental points during the Congress. Apply the 3R.NETS as a historical program, create the 2022 feminist agenda to achieve justice, equality and equityd and finally evaluate the educational, ideological, political, cultural and organizational reality of women.

“See the reality of women as leaders to unify the various currents of women’s strength at the base,” he said while recalling that this revolution is a “Feminist Revolution.”

He stated that women have assumed a fundamental role in society. “In this historical era, women have assumed a determining role in the leadership of what is Venezuelan society. The woman has taken command, with her love, with her intelligence, with her responsibility, with her discipline,” she said.

Path to a culture of peace

During the inauguration of the Congress that will be held until March 31, he said that it is necessary to build a culture of peace for the environment.

“Saying no to violence, to mistreatment and that whoever violates a woman pays for it and does not escape justice,” he said, while saying that this is achieved by promoting values ​​from home.

In the same way, he said that it is necessary to do more for the women of the country, reach all the women of the country

“We have to reinvigorate the Great Homeland Mission and democratize the Humanized Childbirth Plan and the Breastfeeding Plan,” he instructed.
