The representative of Peru before the Organization of American States (OAS), Harold Forsythstressed that all political groups and state powers have received with height and courtesy the visit of the high-level group that will make a report on the state of democracy and the rule of law.
“We Peruvians have known how to assume it with great height, we have received them with great courtesy, with open arms and all political and social sectors have been able to express their opinion,” commented to RPP.

The Peruvian ambassador to the OAS said that the balance of the visit of the high-level group to Peru is that there was an “enormous maturity” in the country before this mission, which, he reiterated, is unprecedented in the region.
“What is coming now is that this high-level group presents a report that will be submitted to the OAS Permanent Council that is in Washington and that includes 34 countries”indicated.
Harold Forsyth pointed out that both the scheduling of the visits and meetings that the OAS group had in Peru and the deadlines for the preparation of its report on the country are the sole responsibility of the members of the mission.

“Peru, as such, has not had, as we commonly say, a candle at this funeral. The OAS mission decides what to do and how to do it and the strategy of not disclosing its agenda, I want to assume that it has been basically for security reasons in the first place.”he commented.
The ambassador asserted that, although he does not know the deadlines that the high-level group will handle, his previous experience allows him to estimate that there would be a final report before the OAS Permanent Council in about 10 or 15 days.
