Cotuí – Police agents arrested in the La Llanada community, Cotuí, Sánchez Ramírez province, a Haitian accused of killing a four-year-old girl of the same nationality with several machetes.
This event occurred in the municipal district of La Zambrana.
The defendant was identified as Verje Pie, 25, who after taking the girl’s life fled to a mountainous area of the same community.
There, police agents located him and arrested him.
The mother of the little girl told investigators that the aggressor kept her under threat and forced her to have sexual relations.
The preliminary report indicates that municipalities tried to lynch Verje Pie, after being located and arrested by the authorities.
Due to the blows he received, he was referred to a health center where he receives medical assistance.
